Teamwork in Texas

We've just sent a second team to Texas to help care for the pets who are either homeless or waiting to be reunited with their loved ones. Your gift of $72, $144 or any amount will support this deployment of skilled animal handlers.

Pets in Texas need help now. Countless animals have been lost, displaced from shelters, or separated from their families during Hurricane Harvey.

Some pets are waiting to reunite with their loved ones. Others will need to find new families to love. No matter a pet’s particular need, the CT Humane team will be ready to help.

Be a part of this lifesaving mission by donating today.

About Us

Our Mission Statement:

"The Connecticut Humane Society is the leading resource in the state for companion animal welfare, enriching the lives of families and communities through adoption services, medical care, education, and prevention of cruelty."

We envision a state where each companion animal finds a permanent, compassionate home, where communities are enriched by the special bond between people and animals and where cruelty no longer exists.

How can I make a donation to help the pets?

We welcome donations of any size to help us continue our mission.  Working together, we can make a difference in saving pets’ lives. Find out about all our donor programs…Ways to Give.

Is CT Humane a member of any national organization like the HSUS or ASPCA?

No, we are not affiliated with any national organizations. The Connecticut Humane Society is a local non-profit that provides immediate and critical services to pets in our community. There is no national organization which provides direct care and financial support to Connecticut shelters on an ongoing basis.  Supporting your local shelter supports your community.
